Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree program allows you the opportunity to explore the application of psychological concepts including overcoming personal and social challenges if you choose to pursue an optional concentration in Human Services. With this option, you will also develop a multidisciplinary approach to providing services to diverse client populations, including children, seniors and people with a substance abuse problem.
What You'll Learn
This Psychology concentration offers elective courses that focus on a broad range of subject areas, including case management, client communication and lifespan family services. You will learn how to examine personal and social problems from psychological and interdisciplinary perspectives. By evaluating crisis situations and making ethical judgments, you will understand how to conduct individual and family assessments. You will also explore best practices for client and colleague communication, and case management.
